  • ARTS FIRST 2015

    Description: The 23rd annual ARTS FIRST festival celebrates student and faculty creativity with over 200 music, theater, dance, film, visual arts and multidisciplinary events at indoor and outdoor venues, most admission is free. Highlights include the Harvard Arts Medal Ceremony honoring dancer/arts leader Damian Woetzel MPA ’07 hosted by actor John Lithgow ’67 on Thursday, Aprii 30; “Jazz on the Plaza” featuring the Harvard Jazz Bands and pianist Vijay Iyer on Friday, May 1; “Swan Lake: For the Birds!”, a hilariously transformed version of Tchaikovsky’s ballet performed by Harvard Ballet Company, Hasty Pudding Theatricals, River Charles Ensemble and surprise guests on Saturday, May 2; the afternoon Performance Fair with multiple events at 11 venues, plus “Make Art” activities, public art, and Global Arts on the Plaza stage, also on Saturday—and much more!
