Add-Drop Forms, Deadlines, and Drop-Off  Policies: Adding or Dropping a class requires that you file a form with the Registrar’s Office.  These forms are available at the House Office, located in J-35, on the 3rd floor of J entry-way.  Dropping a class requires your concentration adviser’s signature AND mine; adding a class additionally requires the instructor’s signature.  If you have any questions about the courses you want to take, please sign up or drop by to see me.  If you don’t have any questions, you can just drop it off in J-35, and I will then sign it. Course Reports, which list the courses in which you have officially enrolled, are now available on-line. You will need your PIN #, as well as your HUID # to sign in.  Please check it to make sure that you are enrolled in the right courses!

Why and When You Need My Signature and What to Do About It

Cross-Registration, Add-Drop or Withdraw from Courses, Independent Study, Change of Concentration, Foreign Language Citation, Leave of Absence.

All of the above, most of which are accomplished by way of a trusty form, require that you talk to me and/or get my signature. These forms are available from my Assistant’s Office (J-35) Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.  All of them are described in the Handbook for Students, which you should consult for details.

The following is a general rule of thumb to follow when you need to do one of the following:

From the Masters: Roger and Ann Porter

Dear Dunsterites,

We are delighted to welcome you to Dunster House for the 2011-2012 academic year. We are excited to welcome a new group of sophomores, as well as our returning juniors and seniors. Dunster is also home this year to twenty two resident tutors. Both the new and returning Resident tutors are great and we encourage you to take every opportunity to get to know them. We know that they are looking forward to getting to know you.

Many of you have written and called since the spring term ended to let us know how things were going. We are delighted that the summer break has proven both relaxing and productive. We are eager to see you all and to hear about your summers.
