Welcome to D-House! I’m excited and honored to be your Resident Dean. I grew up in Miami, Florida and came up north to study civil engineering, international relations, and Spanish literature as an undergraduate. I then studied public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, where I specialized in political advocacy and leadership, and American government in the Department of Government, where I focused on the American presidency. I am teaching a lecture course on presidential campaigns and elections in the Fall, GOV 1359: The Road to the White House, and a research seminar on chief executive politics in the Spring, GOV 98fg: Presidents, Governors, and Mayors: Chief Executive Power in Comparative Perspective. I'm also a fellow at the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard.

As the Allston Burr Resident Dean of Dunster House, I am responsible for your academic and overall wellbeing and success. Over the course of the year, I hope to be able to help you think through and manage the various challenges and opportunities that may impact your happiness and success at the College. I hope you'll stop by my office (on the third floor of J entry-way) whenever you want to talk about anything at all. It's a great privilege to be your Resident Dean. Martha and I are looking forward to meeting and getting to know you well!
