Dear Dunster musicians,

There are many opportunities for you to perform for the rest of the House throughout the semester. Currently, we have three potential dates :
Masters' Open House Oct 14 8:30-9:30PM
Masters' Open House Nov 4 8:30-9:30PM
Dunster Library Concert Dec 2 7:30-8:30PM

DEADLINES:
For Open House performances, please email us (dmusic@hcs.harvard.edu) 2 weeks prior to the performance.

For the December library concert, please see the following due dates:
Oct 30 -- Email us (dmusic@hcs.harvard.edu) the names of people who will perform and the type of music you're interested in.
Nov 14 -- Email us the title of the piece(s) you're performing for the program (5-10min per performance)

Also, if you have any new ideas for performances, please share them with us!

- Practice rooms can be used by any Dunster resident.
- Rooms are available for individuals 10am-10pm everyday during the school year. Rooms are normally locked by the security guard outside those hours. Nobody should occupy the rooms outside the normal hours even if the rooms are accessible.
- Room C can be used for group practices during 5-7pm.
- Hours are more limited during reading and exam periods.
- The rooms should be kept tidy and clean, and close the door behind you.

Let us know when your performances are! Please email your music tutor, Yunsun (ynam AT fas), when you find yourself performing for an audience. Your friends, tutors, and classmates will refer to this section to go see you. Let us know if there are any changes in the plans, too. To check when your friends are performing, click on CALENDAR, and look for the Dunster-ARTS section.

There are four practice rooms (three with pianos) in A-entry basement, each available for practice between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. The pianos are tuned periodically, but particular requests should be brought to Yunsun Nam, (ynam@fas.harvard.edu). Other pianos are located in the C-entry basement conference room, the JCR, and the Library (which has two Steinways, a harpsichord, a virginal, a clavichord, a chamber organ, and a kazoo). Bands with Dunster House members who wish to rehearse in music room C may do so between 5 and 7 p.m. – for permission to use this space, please contact the Music Tutor.
