Mooseletter April 16, 2012

From the Office of the Resident Dean
Carlos E. Díaz Rosillo

ISSUES OF THE WEEK

Dual Submission

If you would like to turn in similar work to more than one course, you must get prior written permission of the instructors involved.  Since each paper you turn in is expected to be written specifically for the assignment, failure to get written permission is deceptive, and students who do it are ordinarily required to withdraw by the Administrative Board.  Instructors do not always give permission, and they often expect a longer or somewhat different paper when they do give permission.  If you have any questions, please see me.

Final Exams

The final exam schedule is now posted on the Registrar’s web page (www.registrar.fas.harvard.edu). Please double check it so that you don’t miss an exam. If, for some reason, you have two exams scheduled at the EXACT same time, please contact the Exam’s Office at 5-1542, to get it resolved. If you have questions about this, let me know.

In Absentia Exams are not automatically granted.  Please note that The Handbook for Students states that requests for in absentia exams are due in the Registrar’s Office no later than the last day of class and require Administrative Board approval.
