I graduated from Harvard (Dunster) in 2006 and concentrated in Biological Anthropology. I am currently a 2nd year medical student at HMS. While at Harvard I sang acapella, prefected, and was involved in Project Health (Project Baby). My medical interests lie primarily in the area of women's health and I have done a lot of research on breast milk--for some reason my classmates find this hilarious. A native of Vietnam, Phuoc grew up in Sacramento, CA before earning his BA at Dartmouth College, where he studied Chinese and Biochemistry. During college, he spent a year studying acupuncture in Beijing. He then decided to attend medical school at Stanford. While there he became more interested in international public health, and eventually pursued an MPH at UC Berkeley. Currently, Phuoc is a first year resident in the Harvard Combined Medicine and Pediatrics Residency. He is training in pediatrics at MGH, and in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women's.

Originally from the desolate Northern hinterland of Canadia, I am currently a second-year student at HMS. I completed my undergraduate in 2006 from the University of Toronto where I majored in Neuroscience and Psychology, and completed a minor in Ancient Greek and Roman studies. I've been involved in several different basic and clinical research projects related to Neuroscience, and spent last summer researching mental health among the Maori in New Zealand. I am also interested in health care policy and the role of health development within the context of broader international development. Aside from medicine, I try to keep up with my interests in contemporary architecture, being a soccer zealot, honing my piano skills, thinking about metacognition, feverishly running along the Charles, listening to live music, and making and consuming great food.
