Mooseletter – September 14, 2015

From the Office of the Dean
Carlos E. Díaz Rosillo

Add/Drop Period is now open and you may now make changes to your study card.

All pending courses (located on the top portion of your study card) left over from shopping period have been removed. You will need to start fresh with add/drop period.

All instructor permissions you had received during shopping period have also been removed. Add/Drop requires you to request permission anew. All courses require instructor permission during add/drop period.

The study card system will enforce the minimum and maximum limits required for your rate of study. Typically this means you must enroll in a minimum of four courses (16 credits) and the maximum varies depending on your program and year of study. If you have questions about deviating from the limits please contact your advisor or the Registrar’s Office at

Use the Drop and Swap buttons to make changes during add/drop. You must swap courses to ensure that you don’t drop below required enrollment minimums. This means that you must first get instructor permission for the course you would like to add, and then swap it with the course you would like to drop. If you try to independently drop a course that will bring you below 16 credits, you will receive an error message.

Visit the Knowledge Center for full edit, drop, and swap instructions.

Cross-registrations will take several days to appear in your study card. If you are below the minimum course credits waiting for this, you do not need to take any action.

About hovsep

Hi everyone, my name is Diana Hovsepian and I am the academic coordinator in Dunster House. I have been working here since 2009: helping with your academic questions and issues, managing student records, organizing and helping with House events and Commencement. I also am here to aid you in coordinating your medical school application process and getting your recommendations in order, so please visit me if you have any questions. I also serve as a sophomore academic adviser in the House. Every Monday, I publish the Mooseletter in the dining hall and in your inboxes with news from our offices, which include academic deadlines, upcoming House events, and information from the Registrar’s office. If you find that you have any questions about academics, need to get in contact with the Resident Dean or just want to chat, please email me or stop by my office at E303A! When I am not in Dunster, I am spending time with my husband, our children, and our Boston Terrier in Bedford, MA. I love traveling, reading, watching movies, and I am always on the lookout for recommendations if you have any. Let’s have another great year in Dunster!
