Happy International Women’s Day! I hope you have a chance to celebrate and recognize women’s excellence and brilliance J In Music 1, we are studying today Sissieretta Jones and Nadia Boulanger! I know all of you are continuing your trek through the winding semester with essays, psets, and midterms (my class also has its midterm this week…), as well as some thesis deadlines. I also get that it’s hard without a Spring Break to look forward to L Keep trying and don’t give up – we have so much faith in you! And we are all here to support one another.

One very bright spot we do have this week, though, is Housing Day, when we will be joined by our newest class of baby meese! Dylan, Eddie, and their crew have been working tremendously hard on the housing day video, and I know HoCo has been decking the virtual halls in preparation! Read Dylan’s email on ways you can contribute and participate. There is also a Chaplains dinner organized by Marielle this week, and the first meeting of the Race Relations Book Club!

Finally, co-host Jiho and I are delighted to announce two winning teams for Trivia Night Spring 2021!

  • Krab Hoes: Nour, Meiling, MyeongSeo, Sanjana, and Sam
  • KJD: Khin, Juhee, and Dylan

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

It was a tough battle with 13 teams made up of 50+ participants. W311 was leading for much of the night, but couldn’t clinch it in the end, stumped by the Netflix stock price. A tutor tried correcting my pronunciation of Camila Cabello, and they in turn were corrected by Seniors on the Fifth – unfortunately that music knowledge didn’t help with the pre-med questions. Finally, I learned that students may be interested in an accordion-themed study break. It’ll be thunderous.

Winners: Nour, MyeongSeo, Sanjana, Meiling, and Sam
