Mooseletter-9/27/21

From the Office of the Resident Dean, Michael Uy
Deer Meese, Happy Autumn! Happy National Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month! I hope everyone had a great weekend! And congratulations to Amisha, Mia, Ashley, Justin, Frank, and Ryan for your tremendous spikeball successes!! We are so proud of you!! I also appreciated the dining hall disruption last Thursday, which at the least, was for a good cause (i.e., Dunster IM promotion). Please remember that October 4th (next Monday) is the add/drop and pass/fail/letter-grade deadline. After October 4th, you are able to “withdraw” from courses until the Eleventh Monday. As I mentioned in an email last week, party/gathering registrations are now open – and contingent upon continued conscientious indoor masking (don’t be like HBS!). Finally, we look forward to our Sophomore Soiree this Thursday (we’ll send a list of Dining Halls later this week that will be open for other classes) – it will be another opportunity to socialize with your class and meet your tutors and advisers! Good luck with midterms as they come… Dunster Love!

Completing each of these steps at the right time, and with appropriate goals for each stage of writing, can mean the difference between an A paper and a lower grade. At this workshop, we'll discuss how to interpret writing assignments, how to break them down into workable steps, and where to go for help as you write.
