Hello Dunster fam! I’m a fifth year MD-PhD student at HMS from Lagos, Nigeria. I will be joining as a first-year tutor with a pre-med focus, and I couldn’t be more excited. I moved to the US in 2012 to start college at North Carolina Central University, the #1 HBCU in the nation. I graduated in 2015 and, following college, I worked for three years as a research associate at the Koch Institute, MIT. Currently, my PhD research is focused on cancer immunology, and I work to improve cancer immunotherapeutics to be effective in a wider range of patients. Outside the lab, I’m a struggling plant dad and wannabe dancer. I also enjoy exercising, writing, afrobeats and binging Netflix trash TV. I secretly love it! I hope to be an added support system for you all regardless of your entryway and academic interests. Please don’t hesitate to say hello and let me know how I can be of assistance.
