Hey Dunster! My name is Defne Altan, and I’m so excited to be part of this awesome community. I grew up in Norman, Oklahoma, came to Harvard for undergrad (where I was lucky enough to be a Dunsterite), and graduated in 2018 with a degree in Neurobiology and a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. Right now I’m a third-year medical student at Harvard planning to apply into general surgery. This fall, I’m on my research year working on outcomes and quality improvement research with Dr. David Chang at the Codman Center at MGH. In my free time you can find me writing fiction or trying out various recipes for sweets.
