Edward Chu

Hi everyone. My name is Edward Chu and I am one of the internal medicine residents at Massachusetts General Hospital. Originally from Orlando, FL but somehow found my way up the East Coast. My path into medicine is the least bit straightforward so if you are non-traditional student in need of some perspective feel free to seek me out. I studied biomedical engineering at Duke but was entirely confused about what to do with life. Took the MCAT, GRE and GMAT and then interviewed for finance, consulting and engineering jobs. Ultimately worked two years for Medtronic before attending the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. During that time, I was on the admission committee and encountered a wide spectrum of amazing applicants. Needless to say, this has been a long but rewarding journey for me.
