Kelsey Ichikawa

Wellness, Culture & Community, Library, and Art Room Tutor
Academic Specialty: History and Science

Hi everyone! My name is Kelsey, and I’m a new tutor in Dunster this year. I graduated from the college in 2020 with a joint concentration in neurobiology and philosophy. I’m now a 2nd year PhD student in History of Science. Before starting graduate school, I volunteered with community organizations in the Japantowns of California, and worked as a lab manager for a feminist science lab. I love poetry, science fiction, and fermented foods. I’m originally from the Bay Area and while I miss the mountains there, I’m very happy to be back near the Charles River.

Come talk to me anytime about interdisciplinary STEM-anities work, doing research as an undergraduate, applying to social science graduate school, taking time off (during or after undergrad), or starting up a Japanese language table!
