Liyu Woldemichael
Hi Dunster—I’m so excited to be joining the House this year as a pre-law and public interest tutor! My name is Liyu Woldemichael (she/hers), and I’m a JD candidate in the Harvard Law School Class of 2028. I’m deeply fortunate to be attending law school on a full-ride civil rights scholarship as a NAACP Legal Defense Fund Marshall-Motley Scholar, a program designed to power the South with a new generation of civil rights attorneys.
A bit about me: I grew up in Montgomery, Alabama, attended Duke University, where I studied Public Policy and African & African American Studies, and have worked across the public interest space, including in government, education, nonprofits, and political advocacy. That work has brought me to Hawaii, DC, California, and Peru! I am always happy to connect and talk about these experiences or anything else!
