Hi Dunster! My name is Stephen, and I recently finished my 3rd year of medical school at a small university in New Haven, CT (but I still bleed Crimson!). I am currently working as a clinical research fellow in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. I graduated from Dunster in 2019, and I am thrilled to rejoin the Dunster community as a pre-med non-resident tutor this year! While at the College, I concentrated in Human Evolutionary Biology (HEB) and was heavily involved in research, including a senior thesis with Prof. Dan Lieberman on running biomechanics. My other interests included Running Club, Health Leads, and Dunster IMs (Roll Moose!). From being pre-med at Dunster, applying to and completing the first 3 years of medical school, and now pursuing a research fellowship in preparation for application to orthopaedic surgery residencies in fall 2024, I am very familiar with the process you are going through now as a pre-med student. I look forward to answering any and all questions you have—I had great resident and non-resident tutor mentors while at Dunster, and I will do everything I can to provide the same mentorship to you. Outside of medical school and research, I love running (I ran my first Boston Marathon in 2021 and am training to run it again in April 2024), playing tennis and table tennis, and continuing to explore all that Boston and Cambridge have to offer!

Please feel free to reach out, and I’m always happy to grab a meal in the D-hall or connect via phone/Zoom!
