Hey there! My name is Ahmet. I study migration and the media in Political Economy and
Government PhD Program at Harvard Kennedy School.
I work on attitudes and behaviors of the host population toward refugees conditional on
how the refugee-related events (e.g. cultural differences, economic burden) are framed
by different media outlets, since those media outlets may trigger or mitigate the cultural
and economic concerns of the host population.
I grew up in Istanbul, Turkey and attended Bogazici University, where I majored in
Political Science and Economics. In my free time, I enjoy hiking and aerial photography.
