Non-Resident Tutor in Languages and Higher Education

Hi Meese! In the past I have served as a Wellness, Intramurals, and Languages and Literature Resident Tutor in Dunster House. During my time at Harvard, I lived in Leverett and studied Slavic Languages and Literatures. After graduation, I taught English at a university in Ukraine, which allowed me to indulge my love of food, travel, and languages, before returning and earning an EdM at Boston University in International Educational Development. Since finishing that degree, I’ve worked as a research assistant at MGH, in development and alumni affairs, as a campus minister, and taught for the last five years as a TF at Harvard in the Department of Government. I am also currently in my fourth year of a PhD in Higher Education at Boston College; my dissertation research thus far has focused on how social, economic, and cultural capital intersect with elite undergraduates’ approach to seeking out and accumulating summer experiences during college. I am also in my third year as a part time faculty member there, where I teach an undergraduate course on leadership and organizational theory. In my spare time, I enjoy baking and cooking, reading, watching documentaries with Odeviz, running, taking German classes downtown, and playing with our two little ones – Felix (5) and Bruno (2).
